For Jane Foote · NXP
Jane, here’s what I’ve been building.
I’m Adam Holt (Rapido in 2019, the ecommerce strategy work in 2023). I made this page and a 74-second video to show you PO2Order, which turns emailed purchase orders into sales orders.
What’s changing
Your Hilux still runs. The roads are changing. Three signs, each with its source:
Buyers’ AI agents will place orders
Gartner predicts that by 2028, 90% of B2B buying will be AI-agent intermediated. Google has already published an open protocol for agent-led payments (AP2).
Your customers’ ERPs are moving
SAP mainstream maintenance for Business Suite 7 (ECC) runs to the end of 2027, with optional extended maintenance to 2030. As buyers change systems, the way their POs reach you changes too (our view).
NZ documents are going system to system
Around 113,000 NZ businesses are now registered to receive eInvoices, and mandated government agencies must now send and receive them.
Our read: more orders will arrive automatically, from more systems, in more formats. Email and PDF won’t go away either.
How PO2Order fits
It sits beside what already works. Your EDI and portal flows stay as they are.
- Reads purchase orders the way they actually arrive: email, PDF, spreadsheet, even a scan.
- Matches the customer, the product and the unit of measure against your data.
- Sends anything unclear to a person to check.
- Drops clean orders into your ERP, alongside your existing EDI and portal flows.
We’d scope the connection to your ERP with your team after the replay below.
A large NZ packaging distributor went live this week.
They handle around 3,500 orders a month.
A free replay, no risk
See it on your own orders before anyone decides anything.
Forward ~100 recent emailed POs
Whatever your customers really send: PDFs, spreadsheets, scans, order emails.
We replay them
Nothing is written to your systems. No access to SAP or the portal needed.
You get the report
Accuracy on customer, product and unit of measure, plus the keying time it would have saved.
